CASYM is a 4-time Panorama champion and  3-time Junior Panorama champion. Our orchestra’s performances have graced the stages of iconic venues including the Apollo Theatre, The Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, and Brooklyn Academy of Music, as well as prestigious universities like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, and Penn State.

Our steel band program introduces youth to the rich cultural heritage of Caribbean music through the art of playing steel pan. Participants learn a variety of traditional and contemporary music, and music theory. In addition to musical instruction, students gain an appreciation for the cultural significance of the steel pan. The program promotes discipline, self expression, and creativity, while building confidence through performance opportunities and group collaboration.
