ABOUT C.A.S.Y.M.

Founded by William T. Jones, CASYM, short for Caribbean American Sports and Cultural Youth Movement, has been a pillar of the community in Brooklyn, NY since 1983. Offering a diverse range of academic, recreational, social, and cultural activities for young people, CASYM is dedicated to nurturing the character of our community's youth, instilling self-esteem, and upholding a legacy of achievement and success.

Situated in the vibrant heart of Crown Heights, CASYM endeavors to create a multicultural environment that celebrates Caribbean heritage, with a particular focus on educating our youth about the art of steel pan music. CASYM Steel Orchestra, comprising over 90 members aged 7 to 21, stands as a testament to our dedication. 4-time Panorama champions and 3-time Junior Panorama champions, this esteemed ensemble has captivated audiences across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
